Fall Fashion has gone full!

One of the fall trends that I have been wanting to try this season is the full skirt look. I've been seeing all of these street style pictures where girls have worn the skirt with a cute little sweater and statement jewelry. This skirt is just the right amount of a girly touch and with the right accessories it can be taken from girly to edgy. I hope these pictures give you inspiration to possibly wear something a little out of your comfort zone. Enjoy beauties!

Urban Chic

A few months ago I collaborated with a very talented friend of mine named Keegan of Keegan Attlee Photography. We met downtown around 7 a.m. just as the sun was coming up through the buildings. Lighting is huge when it comes to capturing a beautiful photo. Keegan and his assistant, Gavin did just that when we were shooting. They knew all of the right shots and angles to clearly shoot with the sun. If you know anything about photography you know that lighting is very hard to understand just because it's something that you can't necessarily control. The talent truly does reflect in the photos below with everything from the reflection off of the buildings to the beautiful quality of the photo itself. As far as my outfit goes, I decided I wanted my outfit to be something that I normally wouldn't gravitate towards however I love how the graphic tee and slouchy pants looked. I'm so excited to see what you all think of these photos because I am very pleased with the outcome and can't wait to collaborate again with such an amazing friend and photographer. Please be sure to "like" his page on Facebook.

The City: Dallas Style

Recently I have decided to head south to Dallas. I have always lived in a suburb of North Dallas which is called Frisco, Texas. Don't get me wrong I love the bubble and I also love escaping the city however I feel as if I am too far away from the city during this exciting time in my life. If you are from Dallas you know that like any city there are PLENTY of different areas that you can choose to live in regarding the type of "life" you are wanting. There is Uptown, Downtown, Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow, Knox-Henderson, and the list goes on and on. I'm not the type of person that really cares about where I live based on my social status however I am also looking for a place that portrays my style within my budget. I wish I could just call it a day and decide to move into The W residences however that is definitely not my lifestyle at the moment. . . sigh. Instead of looking at places my ADD self has been caught up on interior decorating inspiration pictures so I decided to add a few pictures that have inspired my interior decorating side of me.

What does your dream loft or apartment look like?

Navy Baby

*I do not own any of the pictures listed above.

Navy and Black seem to be one of my favorite color combinations to pair together. I have noticed that a lot of people seem to shy away from the combo just because it's not sticking to "the rules." Who cares what applies to the rules these days? Life is too short to let your style slack because of rules trying to be met. I am loving the different styles in each of the pictures that I added above. Each fashionista seems to mix their own personal style within the look they are wearing. Get out of your box if you wouldn't dare to mix these colors and keep on keeping on with your style if this is something you would normally wear. Fashion is all about depicting your own personal style in each look, right?

Lace in the City

Makeup: Meredith Myers; Chanel Specialist at Neiman Marcus NorthPark Center
Hair: Yours truly
Location: AT & T Performing Arts Center in Downtown Dallas
Photographer: Jessica Adkins

If you personally know me you know that I absolutely love mixing my edgy style with my feminine style. I thought that this photo shoot I did was the perfect combination of the two. The Dallas skyline with the lace dress was an amazing duo to add to the magnificent photos that a local photographer captured. We shot this look when it was probably 100+ degrees outside however you can not even tell in the photos. Jessica Adkins of Aravaggio Photography is a well known Wedding Photographer in the Dallas area however lately she has been on the scene and getting her name out there with the Fashion Industry of Dallas. Jessica is not only an amazing photographer she is also the biggest sweetheart and has so many amazing photo talents that are portrayed in her work. I look forward to working with her again and I also highly recommend her for any of your photo needs. She can be contacted here.

Special Thanks to Glamour Magazine & Macy's!

As you all know I am an ambassador or a "Glambassador" for Glamour Magazine. On behalf of Macy's we were sent an amazing offer to host a shopping party for our friends to get some goodies from our local Macy's. On September 24th I hosted a shopping party for a few friends of mine to get some looks to update their fall wardrobe. We had so much fun shopping the night away at the Macy's NorthPark Center Location. We definitely shopped until we dropped. I snapped a few photos from that evening and I am especially excited to wear some of my new looks. I absolutely love being a GLAMbassador for Glamour magazine and I am so thankful to be apart of such an amazing group of girls all over the country.

Supermodel Status!

So they say that only 1% of the population is supermodel worthy however I disagree with that statement. I believe that we are all beautiful in our own way which is why this world is so breathtaking. With that being said, why not get the supermodel treatment in our very own city? Nordstrom NorthPark Center will be hosting the world famous, Steven Khan on October 4th and 5th. Steven Khan has shot supermodels such as Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, and Beyonce. Smashbox brings to you the celebrity treatment with a small fee of $75. When you pay the small fee you receive Kate Somerville Dermaquench Treatment, Smashbox makeup application by amazing artists, Alterna Hair Styling, and a CD with 60+ shots done by Steven himself. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I highly suggest this experience to anyone who needs a new profile shot or just wants to say they have something in common with Tyra Banks. I was lucky enough to get an interview with Steven himself so stay tuned for some behind the scenes action.
